Spring always comes early in this part of the USA. In the desert southwest. We have had a few teasers the last part of January and first part of February.
Normally this time of year I already have a 4 or 5 day camping trip under my belt. Not so this year. The past few weeks were spent adding space to Marilyn’s antique shop. Some construction work, electrical, and lighting.
Then setting up display cases and bringing in stock for the shelves.
Through the winter Marilyn has continued buying. To build up her merchandise. On those buys at garage sales, flea markets, and Estate Sales, she has also accumulated a collection of odds and ends that are perfect for “repurposing” projects.
All of the projects are rattling around in the cranium and nothing on paper, or in production yet. Mostly glass and metal items. I do envision some glass flowers.
What do you do with the horn off an old Victrola? A customer bought the base and mechanics but did not want the horn. He did want the base attachment which someone had glued the two together. The end of the horn was cut off to accommodate the customer.
We first thought some kind of hanging light. But then a piece of yard art? We are both still thinking on this one.
